Cool Finds | Thrifty Gold Jewellery

As some of you may already know from reading previous fashion related posts, I love thrifting. I’ll admit, I don’t go as much as I used to. I used to be uber-hipster and wear 80’s button up blouses straight out ya grandma’s closet. Occasionally though, I will go out on the hunt and find some cool shit.

Last week, I hit up my local VV boutique aka Value Village and I was actually looking for some set-design props to revamp my brands website. Of course I got sidetracked and stumbled upon the jewellery section and actually found some really cute stuff!

Blue Stone Cocktail Ring: $5.99

This was my coolest find! It sparked my attention because of the bright blue stone, but when I closely looked at the ring I noticed it was stamped with Sarah Cov and Canada so I knew it was special and most likely vintage. When I googled Sarah Cov I found out that Sarah Coventry, Established in 1949, it is recognized as the oldest direct selling jewelry company in the world! The rings are selling anywhere between $15-$50 on Etsy. Also, had to mention that Sarah Coventry was owned by Playboy Enterprises in the 80s which is so random but also amazing.

Ball-Drop Gold Studs: $2.99

I love these simple gold studs. Although I don’t know if they contain real gold, my ears haven’t rejected them yet which is a good sign!

Bracelet: $4.99

I have a hard time with bracelets or bangles because my wrists are so small (life’s hard, I know). But this one is perfect! It closes with a sturdy little clasp and again I like that it’s simple.

Vintage Rope Statement Earrings: $3.99

These are super gaudy, which is why I love them. Straight out of 1985. I might whip these out on New Years Eve this year.

Price wise, can you find earrings and bracelets for less? Yes. But I like that these pieces are unique and most likely better quality than your Forever 21 ring that’ll turn your finger green in a week. Last weeks finds, sparked my interest again in thifting and might have to incorporate more vintage style into my wardrobe in 2017.
